Green light for Gotcha
What Kyle and Jackie O’s Holden Cruze Car Chase
Who 2DayFM
Never satisfied with running the same old radio promotion, Kyle and Jackie O were on the lookout for a competition mechanic that would engage technology-loving listeners and guarantee sponsor Holden first place in the innovation stakes. The perfect vehicle came in the form of Gotcha by Snepo.
Kyle and Jackie O’s Holden Cruze Car Chase

By licensing a customised version of Gotcha, 2DayFM was able to set up a huge, virtual car chase across Sydney. Up for grabs? A Holden Cruze with $10,000 in the boot. To join the chase listeners register at the competition microsite and download an app for iPhone or Android. The app includes all game rules and allows players to track the virtual Holden via GPS. If they get within 100m they become the ‘driver’ and whoever is driving when Kyle and Jackie O wave the chequered flag, wins.
Licensing Snepo’s Gotcha platform put 2DayFMs latest promotion in pole position.

Gotcha’s parallel server solution and live game database hosted in the cloud allow 2DayFM to monitor play, pause the game, issue notifications and contact players for updates. Listeners can also watch the race unfold live online. An Australian first, Kyle and Jackie O’s Car Chase launched on 8th August 2011.
